Bernedoodles are a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They are known for their loyal, affectionate nature and striking tri-color coats. Bernedoodles combine the goofy, happy-go-lucky personality of the Bernese with the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle.

History and Origin

The Bernedoodle is a relatively new designer breed, first intentionally bred in 2003. The goal was to create a companion dog that combined the best traits of both parent breeds while reducing some health issues common in purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs.
